On Wednesdays we gather in the Bus pickup location parking lot by 8:45, and the bus leaves promptly at 9:00 am to take us for a day's skiing and snowshoeing up north. We bring our lunch or buy our lunch at the resort cafeteria.
We leave the resort at 3:30 PM and arrive back around 5:30 PM.
Trip cost for 2024 is $65.00 for members and $70.00 for guests. Price includes bus and trail fee.
The bus departs at 9:00 a.m.sharp from the Parking Lot at the Church on the Queensway, 1536 Queensway Blvd, Etobicoke. Skiers and snowshoers should arrive by 8:45 a.m. in order to facilitate loading skis and boarding the bus. We leave from the ski resort at 3:30 p.m. arriving back to the parking lot around 5:30.
Members must wear their name tag with their current emergency information completed while on the bus and while skiing or snowshoeing.

We encourage members to commit to trips in advance.
Payment for future trips can be made by e-transfer in advance or by postdated cheques at the AGM or on each weekly trip. No cash or credit cards accepted.

Cheques postdated and payable to “Etobicoke X-country Ski Club” given to Treasurer or mailed to Treasurer and indicate trip date(s) and skier name (if different from Remitter) in Memo field.
Trip Confirmation Emails
By Monday 5 PM email will be sent from email@example.com to members who have paid for current week’s trip confirming seat on bus.
By Monday 6 PM email may be sent to members not on the current week’s trip to let them know there is either (a) room on the bus or (b) the bus is full.
Full refund if email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone the current week’s Trip Captain by 8 AM Monday prior to that Wednesday's trip. Please also advise email@example.com what you wish done with your refund (ie. apply it to a future trip and provide the date of the trip or request a refund).
Forfeit the bus portion of the trip fee after 8 AM Monday. The trail fee portion may be refunded.
The Club wishes to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our members. For this reason, if a member is unwell due to COVID or other symptoms of illness, they can request a full refund of their trip payment by emailing the firstname.lastname@example.org
by 7AM Wednesday. Please also advise email@example.com what you wish done with your refund (ie. apply it to a future trip and provide the date of the trip or request a refund).
If a trip is cancelled by the club ALL members will be emailed by 7 AM Wednesday and those who prepaid will receive a full refund.
In general, refunds will be made at the end of the ski season.
If a member wants to bring a guest, they may email firstname.lastname@example.org to see if there is a seat available on the trip. Guest forms and waivers can be downloaded from here and printed, ideally to be filled out by the guest prior to their arrival at the bus. Guest payment may be an e-transfer or cheque, and is $70. A guest will be confirmed by 5PM Monday and payment may be made by e-transfer, or cheque on the bus.
A member may invite two guests per year, but only one guest per event (per insurance policy).
A guest may participate in one event per year.
Members have priority in the event the bus is full.
